Arimidex is an orally available anti-estrogen that contains 1mg of Anastrozole per tablet.

This substance provides clear advantages for bodybuilders who utilize aromatizing steroids like testosterone. Such individuals may experience estrogen-related side effects, including water retention and gynecomastia ("gyno"). However, by incorporating Arimidex into their cycle, the likelihood of encountering these issues is significantly diminished.
Research indicates that Arimidex can lower estrogen levels in the body by approximately 50%. This reduction is advantageous for bodybuilders, as some estrogen is essential for reaping the full anabolic effects of the steroids being used. Typically, the results are similar whether a dosage of 0.5 mg or 1 mg is taken daily, suggesting that in many instances, a half tablet each day will suffice for managing estrogen throughout the cycle.
Usually, bodybuilders will start taking Arimidex on the first day of their cycle and continue using it for the entire period they are administering steroids. It's also worth noting that Arimidex has been shown to increase testosterone levels in the body. Some studies indicate that natural testosterone levels can rise by as much as 60% after just 7 days of using this drug. Consequently, bodybuilders find Arimidex to be particularly effective during post-cycle therapy (PCT), as it helps elevate natural testosterone levels to prevent a post-cycle "crash".
Generally, it is advised to continue using Arimidex throughout the duration of the PCT program, which typically lasts between 4 to 6 weeks, after ceasing steroid use.
