Zosert is an antidepressant belonging to a class of medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It influences brain chemicals that can become unbalanced, potentially leading to conditions such as depression, panic, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Zosert is prescribed for treating depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
Use Zosert precisely as your doctor has instructed. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or use it for a longer period than recommended. Your doctor may adjust your dosage occasionally to ensure optimal results from the medication. Take the Zosert tablet with water. You can take Zosert with or without food. Aim to take your medication at the same time every day. Adhere to the instructions provided on your prescription label.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, such as skin rash or hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Contact your doctor right away if you notice any new or worsening symptoms, including mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep difficulties, or feelings of impulsiveness, irritability, agitation, hostility, aggression, restlessness, hyperactivity (mentally or physically), increased depression, or thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
Notify your doctor immediately if you encounter any of these serious side effects: severely rigid muscles, high fever, excessive sweating, rapid or irregular heartbeat, tremors, exaggerated reflexes; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, feeling unsteady, lack of coordination; or headache, concentration issues, memory difficulties, weakness, confusion, hallucinations, fainting, seizures, shallow breathing, or cessation of breathing.
