Sirdalud (Tizanidine) is prescribed for the treatment of muscle spasms and may also be utilized for additional conditions as advised by your healthcare professional. Sirdalud acts as a skeletal muscle relaxant by inhibiting the nerves that prompt muscle contractions.
Avoid using Sirdalud if: you are allergic to any component of Tizanidine; you are currently taking ciprofloxacin or fluvoxamine. If any of these situations apply to you, contact your doctor or healthcare provider immediately.
Certain medical conditions may interact with Sirdalud. Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any medical issues you have, particularly if any of the following are relevant: you are pregnant, considering pregnancy, or breastfeeding; you are using any prescription or over-the-counter medications, herbal products, or dietary supplements; you have allergies to medications, food, or other substances; or you suffer from liver, kidney, or prostate concerns.
Administer Sirdalud as prescribed by your doctor. Refer to the medication label for precise dosing instructions. Sirdalud should be taken orally. Food may affect how your body absorbs and utilizes Sirdalud, so it is important to discuss this with your doctor to determine the optimal way to take your dosage, especially when doses are subject to change or if a different Tizanidine formulation (such as tablets or capsules) is prescribed.
Avoid abruptly discontinuing Sirdalud. When stopping Sirdalud, the dosage should be gradually decreased to prevent withdrawal symptoms, which may include high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, trembling, anxiety, and muscle tension.
If you happen to miss a dose of Sirdalud, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time.
