Fempro is primarily used alongside other medications for the treatment of certain types of breast cancer (such as hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer) in postmenopausal women. It is also utilized to help reduce the likelihood of cancer recurrence. Some breast cancers grow more rapidly due to a natural hormone called estrogen that is present in women's bodies. Fempro works by lowering the estrogen levels produced by the body, thereby helping to slow down or reverse the growth of these breast cancers.

No dosage modification is necessary for patients with mild to moderate liver impairment, although Fempro blood levels were slightly elevated in individuals with moderate impairment from cirrhosis. For patients with cirrhosis and severe liver dysfunction, the Fempro dose should be decreased by 50%. The suggested dosage for these patients is 2.5mg taken every other day.

It is important to consult your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Fempro, any other medications, or any non-active ingredients in Fempro.

Fempro is intended exclusively for women who are postmenopausal and incapable of becoming pregnant. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you must inform your doctor before starting this medication. Employ a dependable form of birth control to prevent pregnancy during your treatment, as Letrozole could potentially harm the fetus.

Be aware that Fempro might cause drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you understand how this medication affects you. The recommended dosage of Fempro tablets is one 2.5mg tablet taken once daily, with or without food. No dosage changes are needed for elderly patients.
