Benzac AC Gel is utilized for the treatment of acne. It possesses antibacterial properties and a slight drying effect, which helps in removing excess oils and dirt from the skin effortlessly.
Use precisely as instructed on the label or as directed by your physician. Avoid using in larger or smaller amounts or for a duration longer than suggested. Wash your hands both before and after applying Benzac AC Gel. Cleanse the affected area and gently pat it dry. Apply Benzac AC Gel in a thin layer and gently rub it in.
Do not cover the area being treated unless advised by your doctor. Benzac AC Gel is typically applied one to three times a day. Adhere to your doctor's guidelines. It may cause bleaching of hair or fabrics, so take care to prevent contact with your hair or clothing. Improvements in symptoms may take several weeks, so continue using Benzac AC Gel as directed and inform your doctor if symptoms do not get better. If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not use extra medicine to compensate for the missed dose.
Seek immediate medical assistance if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, such as hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Discontinue use of Benzac AC Gel and contact your doctor right away if you experience severe stinging or burning on your skin.
Less severe side effects may include: mild stinging or burning sensations; itching or tingling; skin dryness, peeling, or flaking; and redness or other irritation.
