Pharmaceutical name: Tadalafil

Afilta (Tadalafil) relaxes muscles and enhances blood circulation to specific areas of the body. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in males.
Avoid taking Afilta if you are allergic to Tadalafil, or if you are currently using a nitrate medication for chest pain or heart conditions, such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, or isosorbide mononitrate, or recreational substances like amyl nitrate or nitrite ("poppers"). Combining Afilta with nitrate medications can lead to a sudden and severe drop in blood pressure.
If you feel dizzy or nauseous during sexual activity, or experience pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw, stop immediately and contact your doctor. You may be experiencing a serious side effect from this medication. Do not take Afilta more than once a day, and ensure that at least 24 hours pass between doses. If your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours, seek medical assistance as it could indicate priapism, which can harm the penis.
Afilta may reduce blood flow to the optic nerve of the eye, potentially resulting in sudden vision loss. This has been reported in a small number of users, particularly those with heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, or certain preexisting eye conditions, as well as individuals who smoke or are over 50 years old. It remains uncertain whether Afilta is directly responsible for the vision loss.
If you have any of the following conditions, you may require a dosage adjustment of Afilta or specific tests: heart disease or arrhythmia; recent heart attack (within the last 90 days); a recent stroke (within the last 6 months) or congestive heart failure; angina (chest pain); high or low blood pressure; liver disease; kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis); blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia; bleeding disorders like hemophilia; peptic ulcers; retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited eye condition); a physical deformity of the penis (e.g., Peyronie's disease); or if advised not to engage in sexual activity for health reasons.
